soooo good. just spicy enough, still not too spicy. If you lot brand the sauce ahead of fourth dimension and refridgerate over night, the flavors become 5 times more rich and delish! and then just heat up and add the mussels! all the mussels were gone in less than 5 minutes and anybody was raving. I used 4 1/2 lb of mussels, and they merely barely fit in the amount of sauce. will use 4lb next time.

Wicked good! Yes, I said it! We halved it and I was a whimp almost putting i/ii of each pepper, only next time I won't exist a whimp. Make sure you have lots of bread for sopping!!! THANK Yous!

I fabricated this recipe for Valentine'southward Day and both me & my husband loved it. I didn't have the cherry chili pepper so I used a couple of pinches of ruddy pepper flakes instead. Information technology was perfect. Volition make once again - thanks for the recipe.

I made this recipe for one of the seven fishes on Christmas Eve. Came out very good! I made 15 pounds of Mussels and adjusted the recipe appropriately. I made the "broth" in the morning time, and so that night I brought it to a boil and threw in the mussels. Served on it's ain,with bread for dunking. Wish I had a film of my Dad and Uncles at the tabular array with this huge bowl of Mussels. They were but eating away! Nobody gave up their seat for nieces or nephews!! Flavor and ease is part of a 5 star rating, but y'all also have to factor in how other people like information technology..and when in that location is NO leftovers that'south an automated 5!!

Excellent! I used the base recipe...green onion instead of shallots, pure beef drippings, chili pepper flakes and heavy cream. Served mussels with filet mignon...what a combination. Excellent recipe!

I also found that just 4 lbs. worked out great. DEFINITELY making these delicious mussels again. Made no changes, doesn't demand whatever.

Nifty Recipe - followed it exactly but added a bit more estrus due west/ extra peppers. Propose to serve this with grilled french bread - succulent!

This recipe tastes A LOT similar the Craven Milano from this site. The only departure is the fresh tomatoes rather than sun stale tomatoes. I didn't treat that recipe, I remember information technology was the lord's day dried tomatoes. I followed the recipe only adding shrimp along with the mussels. Information technology was all correct, but I won't make it once again.

Succulent!! Really brings out the flavor of mussels. I did make a few changes. I used canned jalapeno pepper, reddish pepper flakes (instead of red chili), added 1 Bay leaf, a sprinkle of chili pepper and black pepper, and rice cooking vino.

This was a hit with my family for our St. Valentine's Twenty-four hours dinner last nighttime. Only adaptations I fabricated were to use canned diced tomatoes (drained) I used blood-red pepper flakes, and I made the sauce the night before. Volition be added to our regular rotation!

I am not a stickler for amounts and did add a little more or less than was called for. Also I forgot to add together the cornstarch and cream - oops. Simmered the broth for an 60 minutes or so (the broth alone would make an amazing soup) before adding the mussels. My husband loved information technology every bit did I. Served with a dark-green salad (including avacado and oranges) and a whole wheat bagette. Easy & fabulous.

These mussels really were astonishing. I didn't plan to make this specific recipe, so I had to sub a few things based on what I had ane hand. I replaced the shallots with onions, the fresh tomatoes with canned diced tomatoes and used blood-red pepper flakes instead of the chili pepper. They were delicious, merely I'one thousand sure they would accept been fifty-fifty ameliorate using the proper ingredients (as most of my replacements were downgrades). Next time I'chiliad going to plan ahead and brand exactly as written.

as the reviews and ratings say this recipe for mussels is amazing!! Very easy and every good. 5lbs of mussels went in a flash.

The flavor in this recipe is truly unique and amazing. Due to the lack of basil I substituted the basil with cilantro and tarragon.I would recommend cutting dorsum on the broth and vino mine came out a little thin. overall the all-time muscles I take always made.

Okay, you have to keep in mind I found out that mussels were on auction at the local market today, our cat has been complaining and so my husband made a mussel run, with a grocery list in hand. Bad news was its Sunday so no white wine. Withal this was incredible. My married man couldn't cease raving about it! He likes to employ bread for the liquor so I didn't cook pasta. Adjacent time I will, the sauce is nice and rice and would coat the pasta to perfection. In fact my husband decided to finish, save the sauce and get more than mussels for tomorrow night.

I made this last week for my boyfriend and I. I scaled down to 2 lbs of mussels, and cutting the sauce ingredients in half, as people seemed to call up the sauce was really just enough for about 4 lbs of mussels. Information technology was really good! The boyfriend doesn't really eat shellfish, but he cleaned his plate and went back for seconds! The merely affair I would change, is I call back that you could cut the corporeality of beef broth added in one-half. Information technology seemed maybe a tad watered down, only still awesome! There was a lot of extra goop afterward we were washed, so I used it to make a soup! Didn't want it to become to waste ;)

I was surprised how mild this recipe is. Next fourth dimension I will reduce the broth past a cup and add another pepper.

Holy Moly this is Fabulous! I now incorporate various seafood to this recipe such as shrimp, scallops, crab, etc. Pair with fresh bread and wine and it's on!

This was my get-go attempt at making mussels. It was very like shooting fish in a barrel to make, and had a adept season. Dipping the bread into the sauce was the best.

This is an astonishing recipe. My hubby lovesit and I don't even really similar seafood but I enjoyed thes equally well.Instead of the minced peppers I used dried chilli pepper considering thats all I had.

This is a peachy recipe. Prepared it some iv times at present and the result is excellent every time. I go easy on the Jalapeno but the gustation is not impaired in any way.

These mussels are then delicious! I used onion in place of the shallots, red pepper flakes for the red chili pepper, three tomatoes, and milk in place of the cream. I used three pounds of mussels and threw in a pound of shrimp I had on hand. Even with but 4 pounds of seafood, I think I would double the sauce next time. Bang-up recipe!

I fabricated these Mussels and Anybody loved them. Even people who don't normally like to eat mussels were raving about these. Very good with just the right spice. I highly recommend this recipe.

showtime fourth dimension making muscles. This recipe was very easy to follow and admittedly delicious I made it for my family unit and my aunt and uncle and they all devoured every last one. My 8 year sometime just LOVED them. I did double the recipe because I had 12 pounds of mussels (Costco special, lol) the but thing I substituted was I used two cans of Italian flavored tomatoes, instead of fresh tomatoes.

I will need to tweak the recipe a bit. I would similar more garlic and a bear upon more table salt. I will probably use a couple table spoons of soy sauce to increase the salt. All in all this is an crawly recipe.

My soulmate and I enjoyed a New Years eve mussel repast extraordinaire! Served up with and cooked in Orvieto Classico from a BC Liquor store, filone and cheeses from a local grocer ... commenced 2016 fully satiated.

These really are Astonishing Mussels! The broth is then tasty! We all loved this recipe. It wasn't spicy for us at all just very flavourful. viii lbs of mussels and 3 baguettes later and some dainty white wine. We were all stuffed! This Recipe is a keeper!

I felt the sauce was but ok. Peradventure I should have waited to swallow it the next twenty-four hour period as one reviewer said the flavor was more pronounced the following day.

Delicious! I made the sauce twenty-four hours before and waited to add the foam and cornstarch in the twenty-four hour period of serving. Fabricated it for my son'south 30 birthday, I will definitely brand again- easy and delicious. Serve w hard bread for dipping
