Broderick Stephen Harvey, Sr. [2] [3] (born January 17, 1957) is an American television set and radio presenter, actor, author, businessman, and former stand up-upwardly comedian. He hosts The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, the Miss Universe competition, Family unit Feud Africa, and arbitration-based courtroom comedy, Gauge Steve Harvey.

Harvey began his career as a comedian. He did stand-up comedy in the early 1980s and hosted Showtime at the Apollo and The Steve Harvey Evidence on The WB. He was later featured in The Original Kings of One-act subsequently starring in the Kings of Comedy Tour. He performed his terminal standup show in 2012.

Harvey is the host of both Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud, which he has done since 2010. Early life

Harvey was born on January 17, 1957,[4] [5] in Welch, West Virginia, and is the son of Jesse Harvey, a coal miner, and Eloise Vera.[six] His first proper name is Broderick, named after histrion Broderick Crawford of the TV series Highway Patrol.[2] Harvey had a severe stuttering problem every bit a child, which he eventually overcame.[7] Harvey's family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, living on Due east 112th Street, which was renamed Steve Harvey Way in 2015.[8] He graduated from Glenville High School in 1974.[8]
